Best of Summer

I spent most of my photography and hiking hours this Summer around Mount Hood. I think I took more photos of Hood this Summer than the previous 10 years combined. I also got a few other Mountain shots in (Adams in particular). Rather than write about every single hike and camping trip for the year I figured I would just create a single post with all my favorites from the Summer Season, which I will define here as June 1-August 31.

Mount Hood

Above: Mount Hood from Larch Mountain on Father’s Day. Possibly my favorite sunrise ever. The sky had some wonderful color to the NOrth towards Adams this morning with some great pinks/reds/oranges, but the real show was after the sun came up and the yellow/orange/pink shifted to the fog gliding across Cascades below me.
